SCTE names Emeritus Members

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) has named its new SCTE Emeritus Member classification and is recognizing the 18 individuals who have become the first Emeritus Members.
The SCTE Emeritus Member classification honors individuals who have been SCTE members for 40 continuous years. Since the SCTE celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, these eighteen individuals date back to the SCTE’s founding in 1969.
The SCTE congratulates the following Emeritus Members:

- Robert Bilodeau
- Dean Cummings
- William Elkins
- Marvin Gill
- Omer Griesemer
- AJ Henry
- John Hollenback
- William Karnes
- Nicholas Olson
- Eldon Palasek
- Rex Porter
- Earl Quam
- James Rowan
- Samuel Shearer
- Lewis Suders
- Herbert Timberlake
- Allen Williams
SCTE membership dues are waived for Emeritus Members, but these members retain all of the benefits of individual membership, and they even get complimentary registration for the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.
