DirecTV has DVR scheduler app for iPhone
By Brian Santo

DirecTV’s DVR Scheduler is available, for free, from the Apple App Store. Using the app, DirecTV subscribers can program their DVRs through their iPhones or iPods. The new app updates the existing mobile scheduler with a rich graphical interface.

The company said it has also improved its search function, enabling users to browse the entire programming guide by channel or date and time. A keyword search option also lets the viewer search by actor, title, and description. Programs can be scheduled up to 14 days in advance.
