OneLink Communications signs on for Integra5’s caller ID on TV
Integra5 today announced that Puerto Rican triple play provider OneLink Communications has installed the i5 Converged Services Platform (i5 CSP) to deliver customizable TV Caller ID throughout its market footprint.
OneLink Communications will launch the i5 application — marketed as OneLink Caller ID — this month to 30,000 subscribers of its video and telephony bundle as a way to further differentiate its services from the region’s satellite and telco providers through an integrated communications experience that customers can personalize and manage.
“Our decision to deploy Integra5’s platform to enable converged services is yet another milestone in a line of ‘firsts’ we’ve delivered to our subscribers here in Puerto Rico,” said Jeffrey Engleman, director of customer operations at OneLink Communications
Subscribers can customize and control OneLink Caller ID through an i5 Network Address Book on OneLink Communications’ customer Web portal, with the ability to: personalize the alerts with photos and nicknames and manage call settings, such as disabling or enabling notifications and specifying how long caller ID information appears on the TV screen. Subscribers can also view a Call Log on TV, which displays the names, numbers, dates and times of recent calls.
OneLink Communications has deployed the i5 CSP — now used by nearly 40 operators worldwide — in its video headend, which includes a Cisco set-top box environment running SARA Interactive Program Guide technology.
Caller ID on TV has become almost a ubiquitous feature for service providers. Cable operators such as Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, Videotron, and Comcast have deployed the service to their customers while Intergra5’s Caller ID to PCs has also been rolled out.
