Last week, NDS co-founder, vice president and general manager Dov Rubin was announced as the new CEO of Itamar Medical, an Israeli company specializing in medical technology. Rubin has a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering.

Subsequently, NDS has promoted Jesper Knutsson to vice president and general manager of sales for NDS Americas, responsible for the overall sales strategy in the U.S. and Canada.

Knutsson had been NDS’ vice president of interactive TV, based in Denmark, where the NDS interactive division is headquartered. In this role, he worked closely on the development of interactive TV applications for QVC and interactive games such as the Golf LaunchPad/XTV Experience, and branded content for major broadcasters such as Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. Knutsson will continue to oversee NDS Denmark.

NDS has also promoted both Caroline Le Bigot and Sue Taylor to senior vice president. Le Bigot, responsible for the EMEA region, has also been given oversight of the company’s business in Latin America. Taylor leads the NDS team focused on Asia.

All three execs were members of the NDS Executive Committee, and continue to be.
