Anstrom has served on the NCTA board since 2000. Before joining Landmark, Anstrom served as president and CEO of the NCTA from 1994-1999.
Tom Rutledge, COO of Cablevision, will serve as chairman in Anstrom’s absence. Pat Esser, president of Cox Communications, will serve as vice chair; Bob Miron, chairman and CEO of Advance/Newhouse Communications, as treasurer; and Neil Smit, president and CEO of Charter Communications, as secretary.
"The entire industry has benefited from Decker's leadership and wise counsel for many years," said NCTA President and CEO Kyle McSlarrow. "We are truly indebted to Decker for his service to the industry. And, as with so many board members and staff at NCTA, I am personally grateful to him for his friendship and support."
In October 2007, The Cable Center inducted Anstrom into the Cable Hall of Fame. In May, Anstrom was reelected to serve a second one-year term as chairman of the NCTA board.
