Time Warner Cable said this morning that Asheesh Saksena has joined the company as deputy chief strategy officer and senior vice president of corporate strategy.

In his new job, Saksena will drive corporate strategy development and planning, advise senior leaders on strategy issues and oversee strategy projects. Saksena will be based out of Time Warner Cable’s New York office and will report to Peter Stern, executive vice president and chief strategy officer.

“Asheesh is one of the foremost thought leaders in the area of strategic development for telecommunications companies, and we are very excited to have him join our team during this time of rapid technological innovation and growing competition,” Stern said. “His insights will be a tremendous asset to Time Warner Cable as we continue the development and rollout of advanced cable, high-speed online and voice services to both residential and commercial markets.”

Saksena joined Time Warner Cable from Accenture, where he most recently served as senior executive and partner for communications and high technology strategy. While at Accenture, he led the company’s cable and wireless strategy engagements.

Saksena’s focus at Accenture was on helping clients achieve high performance through new strategies for driving growth, with an increased emphasis on IP, mobility and product innovation.
