Time Warner Cable today announced that Edward An has joined the company as vice president of legislative affairs.

An will report to Rachel Welch, group vice president of federal legislative affairs, and is based in the company’s Washington, D.C., public policy office. An will represent Time Warner Cable before Congress on various cable and telecommunications issues.

“Ed comes to Time Warner Cable with a tremendous mix of corporate, government, non-profit and advocacy experience,” Welch said. “He knows our company and our business extremely well and will be a critical representative for Time Warner Cable on Capitol Hill.”

An was most recently vice president of global public policy for Time Warner Inc., where he represented the company and its various business units before Congress. He joined Time Warner in 2000 from the office of U.S. Sen. Russell Feingold (D-WI), where he was legislative assistant.
