SCTE hires search firm to find new president
The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) said today that it has hired executive search firm EquiVision to find a replacement for former president and CEO John Clark.
An e-mail this morning from SCTE Chairman Tom Gorman said the SCTE is still on track to have a new president in place by the end of the year. Gorman said in his e-mail that EquiVision “is now tasked with the job of seeking qualified candidates for consideration to lead the SCTE through the future telecommunications challenges that face our industry.”
The executive search committee is being led by Frank Eichenlaub, who is also on the SCTE’s board of directors.
Clark, whose contract as president and CEO of the SCTE wasn’t renewed in June by the SCTE board, was named director and CEO of BICSI last month (story here).
Marv Nelson, the SCTE’s vice president of professional development, is currently leading the SCTE while it looks for a new president.
