Colleen Abdoulah, the CEO and president of WOW!, was recently appointed to a two-year term on the American Cable Association’s board of directors.

“We could not be more proud or more excited to add Colleen Abdoulah to our board.  The ACA’s board now includes many of the most talented and visionary executives in the cable television industry, and our association,” said ACA President and CEO Matthew M. Polka.

Abdoulah will serve out the remaining two years of WOW! COO Steven Cochran’s term.

Also during the quarterly meeting last week, Kirby Campbell, vice chairman of the Armstrong Group, and Martin Brophy, president of Shen-Heights TV Associates, were re-elected to the ACA’s six-member executive committee for one-year terms.

“As we approach the end of another successful year for the ACA in which the FCC adopted an exemption from the digital must carry obligations for small cable operators, among other achievements, we’re pleased to retain the services of Kirby Campbell and Martin Brophy on our executive committee,” Polka said. “Our executive committee is the daily force behind our board, and our association.”

Campbell and Brophy join Steve Friedman, chairman of Wave Broadband; Jim Bruder, vice chairman of Harron Communications; Dave Baum, treasurer of JetBroadband; and Patrick Knorr, ex officio chairman of Sunflower Broadband.
