Bright House promotes Kramersmeier to VP of new product development
Kristi Kramersmeier has been promoted to vice president of new product development for Bright House Networks (BHN). Kramersmeier will be responsible for the development of new product strategies for the operator’s residential video, data and voice platforms, Bright House said.
Kramersmeier will manage new product planning and requirements, implementation plans and vendor relationships. She will also serve as the primary product interface throughout Bright House, integrating cross-functional efforts to help plan and deploy new content and applications to customers.
Kramersmeier was previously the senior director of new product development for Bright House; she joined the operator in 2004. Prior to that, she had experience in product management and product marketing with IBM Microelectronics. Prior to IBM, Kramersmeier worked for Microware Systems Corp., where she specialized in licensing software to Asian consumer electronics companies that supplied set-top boxes in some of the earliest interactive TV (iTV) trials deployed in the U.S. and Asia, according to BHN.
At Bright House, Kramersmeier has been involved with the rollout of iTV applications, the expansion of Bright House’s VOD and Local On-Demand services, and the migration to the new Digital Navigator programming guide, which has enhanced features such as Start Over. She has also managed the enhancements and upgrades to the Road Runner broadband services and spearheaded a renewed focus on the improvement of home networking services, the company said.
“I am excited about the opportunity to have a triple-play perspective now on our new product development efforts,” Kramersmeier said. “I believe creating synergies across our product lines for the consumer is another important aspect of BHN’s focus on exceptional customer service.”
