Synacor has elected Terri Santisi – founder of T. Media Services International – to the company’s board of directors.

As a member of the board, Santisi will serve as the company’s Audit Committee chairman and will oversee Synacor’s accounting practices, internal controls system, and audit and financial reporting processes, the company said.

“Synacor’s platforms and programs create significant global opportunities for cable, telecom and content companies to expand their brand awareness among potential customers and maximize the value of their overall services portfolio,” Santisi said. “I am looking forward to leveraging my industry knowledge and experience in an effort to assist Synacor and its board of directors to continue to reach its full growth potential.”

Prior to her current role at T. Media Services, Santisi was the EVP, CFO and chief administrative officer of IMG. She has also held various positions with Interpublic Media and EMI Group.

Santisi is also an active participant in the World Economic Forum, where she serves as the senior advisor to the media and entertainment governors.

Synacor’s technology platform provides white label portals, premium online content and e-mail collaboration suites to cable operators, telecos and Internet service providers (ISPs). Synacor allows both service and content providers to extend their brands online and create a relevant, personalized online experience for consumers through a single sign-on portal, enhanced content packaging and aggregated billing, the company said.
