Trilithic is developing an application that it will integrate with Ventyx, a mobile enterprise workforce management (WFM) provider, to give cable operators new tools to manage field technicians, enforce technical performance and track work quality.

The TDM System equips operators with new tools for managing their field force and gives operators reports to analyze the degree of compliance with their cable system’s installation and maintenance procedures, the company said.

“In these days when more field manpower is being managed by fewer supervisors, integrating the Ventyx mobile workforce management software with Trilithic’s TDM platform gives system managers new ways to efficiently track field operations quality,” said Jim Harris, Trilithic’s director of marketing. “This information can power a performance improvement system that improves service delivery, reduces repeat truck rolls and assures the best customer experience. In addition, this new application gives field technicians additional resources that speed the completion of installations and correction of problems in a distribution system.”

Additionally, Trilithic is presenting the new 8821Q-R at the Cable-Tec Expo this week in Philadelphia. The new release, which builds on the 8821Q CATV Spectrum Analyzer platform, uses network connectivity to increase productivity.

The platform comes with Q-Lab, a software utility, so that operators can customize channel and test plans to fulfill specific testing needs and transfer them to the 8821Q-R. Operators can then save and download test results and screenshots for report generation and further analysis.
