Convergys Corp. has expanded its solution set available to communications service providers by acquiring Visage Mobile's Subscriber Management platform.

Visage Mobile is a provider of on-demand subscriber management solutions for cable and mobile network service providers, and virtual service providers such as MVNOs.

Visage Mobile's Subscriber Management platform currently serves the mobile subscribers of Embarq Corp. Through its relationship with Visage, Convergys has been supporting Embarq since its wireless launch and has assumed the contract with Embarq.

"For our existing and potential clients, this strategic acquisition of Visage's Subscriber Management Platform extends the Convergys solution footprint and provides a complementary technology to our existing Infinys product offerings," said Bob Lento, president of Information Management at Convergys. "Convergys' integration of Visage's service provisioning capability across cable and mobile service verticals, and its subscriber management solutions for global MVNOs, will help Convergys continue to deliver industry-leading converged services capabilities to our clients around the world."

Earlier this week, Alcatel-Lucent and Convergys entered into a multi-year, non-exclusive agreement to integrate Convergys’ Infinys applications into Alcatel-Lucent's Business Support System (BSS) solution. The resulting billing solution combines Convergys' and Alcatel-Lucent's product portfolios to give service providers a single BSS solution that meets today's demands for convergent services, the companies said.
