Adlink Technology Inc. recently announced the availability of the aTCA-6900, a next-generation AdvancedTCA (ATCA) CPU blade featuring the latest Intel 5100 chipset, two quad-core LV-Xeon processors, and two AMC bays for enhanced performance, integration and flexibility.
According to Adlink CTO Jeff Munch, the aTCA-6900 is the “most powerful CPU blade on the market.”
Intel’s 64-bit extended memory technology allows the aTCA-6900 to provide telecom equipment manufacturers (TEMs) with a cost-effective solution that offers increased memory capabilities, storage and connectivity options.
“This blade includes telco clocking, dual AMC bays, an Ethernet switch, mezzanine for flexible Fabric Interface and up to eight CPU cores to provide our customers with increased flexibility and integration,” Munch said. “The integration of an Ethernet switch on a CPU blade is the first in our industry and provides unparalleled flexibility in interconnecting the eighteen on-card Ethernet ports.”
The Taipei, China-based company’s new aTCA-6900 series of CPU blades supports up to eight CPU cores, compared with existing market solutions that currently offer up to four CPU cores. The series also supports a flexible Fabric Interface that includes dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) Fabric Interfaces, dual PCI-Express Fabric Interfaces, dual Fiber-Channel Fabric Interfaces, two mid-size AMC bays for I/O and/or storage expansion and an on-board 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch for flexible traffic routing, the company said.
Additionally, Adlink has announced the availability of its PXI-3950, which combines the Intel Core2 Duo T7500 2.2 GHz processor, Mobile Intel GME965 chipset and 4 GB 667 MHz DDR2 memory to provide performance for test and measurement applications, including RF testing, sound/vibration analysis and automatic optical inspection.
The PXI-3950 incorporates a dual GbE port configuration, which allows the use of one GbE port for LAN connectivity and the other port for a determinative bandwidth and latency connection with LXI instruments, the company said.
The PXI-3950 system controller will be available in May at a list price of $3,650. The PXI-2558T portable chassis is currently available at a list price of $2,495.
Adlink provides a wide range of embedded computing products and services to the test and measurement, automation and process control, gaming, communications, medical, network security and transportation industries.
