Scopus incorporates Ambarella processors into UE-9000 series
The Ambarella processors encode full high-definition (HD) resolution on single or multiple chips, enabling flexibility in the design of encoders with enhanced picture quality at low bit rates and low video latency, the company said.
Moshe Rousso, VP of R&D at Scopus, said, "The integration of the company's HD processing technology into our encoding platform allows us to provide value-added solutions that improve the HDTV viewing experience and enable our clients to deliver advanced services."
The Scopus H.264 video compression architecture uses built-in statistical multiplexing and processing capabilities to deliver enhanced video quality and bandwidth efficiency, the company said. For customers migrating to HD, the new Scopus UE-9000 series enables greater programming flexibility, improved channel density and increased power efficiency.
Scopus’ HD H.264 platform will be showcased at the NAB Show 2008, being held April 14-17 in Las Vegas.
