Nominations being sought for Expo, Women in Technology awards

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) is seeking nominations for its SCTE Cable-Tec Expo Awards for 2008 – the SCTE Member of the Year Award, the SCTE Excellence in Standards Award and the SCTE Hall of Fame.

The deadline for nominations is March 7, and forms are available here.

The awards will be presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon on June 25. The Expo is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and is set for June 24–27 in Philadelphia.

Additionally, nominations for the 2008 Women in Technology Award are now being accepted. The deadline for nominations is also March 7, and a nomination form is available here. The award will also be presented at the Expo’s Annual Awards Luncheon.

To be eligible, a woman must be in a technical position in either the cable or telecom industry and be a current member of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and the SCTE, among other criteria.
