Tykeson, Roberts earn NCTA’s Vanguard Award(2)

BendBroadband CEO Amy Tykeson and Comcast CEO Brian Roberts are the 2007 recipients of the cable industry’s Vanguard Award for “Distinguished Leadership.” The two execs will be recognized at The Cable Show ’07 May 7-9 in Las Vegas. This year’s recipient of the Young Leadership Award will be Alicin Reidy-Williamson, senior vice president – corporate responsibility & public affairs, MTV Networks. The recipient of the Cable Operations Management Award is John Bickham, president – cable & communications, Cablevision Systems. Philip Kent, chairman & CEO, Turner Broadcasting Systems, will receive the Programmers Award. The Science & Technology Award will be bestowed on Chris Bowick, senior vice president and chief technology officer, Cox Communications. The Government & Community Relations Award will be given to Libby O’Connell, senior vice president – corporate outreach, A&E Television Networks. Patricia Gottesman, executive vice president, digital marketing & commerce, Cablevision Systems Corporation, will get the Marketing Award. The Associates & Affiliates Award will be given to Cathy Wilson, founder/president/publisher, Broadband Library.
