iSuppli Corp. predicts that the premium video services market - comprised of pay-TV, mobile video, DVD, broadband video and theater/box office receipts - will rise to $277 billion by 2010.

The company expects much of the growth to come from increasing revenue for pay-TV services, particularly in the IPTV area, which is the fastest-expanding segment of the pay-TV market. iSuppli predicts revenue tied to IPTV - $681 million in 2005 - will rise to $23.5 billion in 2010, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 103 percent.

With the addition of advertising revenues to premium video sales, the total market amounted to approximately $370 billion in 2006, iSuppli said.

iSuppli's report, entitled "2006 Premium Video Entertainment Market Rollup," provides a macro survey of the premium video services market.
