TVN Entertainment Corp. has secured a deal to produce a weekly barker channel for the Cox Communications Inc. VOD platform.

The deal highlights MSOs' increased attention to barker channels, which some operators have found can increase awareness of product offerings and boost buy rates of featured programming, TVN said.

TVN's service will expand to include subscription VOD, free on-demand and studio content for Cox's platform.

TVN also produces weekly barkers for Charter Communications and Mediacom Communications.
