AT&T's U-verse service has touched down in two markets in Wisconsin. U-verse is now available in limited areas in and around Milwaukee and Racine - the 12th and 13th markets for the IP-based video and data service.

AT&T U-verse offers more than 300 channels, including digital music, local, and premium movie and sports programming. Over 25 channels are in HD.

AT&T equips subscribers with a Motorola IPTV set-top with DVR that can record up to four channels at a time (only one HD). Subscribers to both IPTV and DSL get Web remote access to their DVRs, which allows them to schedule recordings from remote locations.

U-verse offers three data tiers, the fastest of which - the Elite tier - has a downstream rate up to 6 Mbps and an upstream rate up to 1 Mbps.

AT&T said it has signed up nearly 7,000 U-verse customers. Approximately 3,000 of those subscribers are in AT&T's test bed city: San Antonio, Texas.
