Cox Communications Inc. has announced the promotions of five employees.

- Bill White, formerly a voice product manager for Cox Business Services, was promoted to director of voice product management. White previously served as a long distance product manager for KMC Telecom, and he was a manager at Andersen Business Consulting.
 
- Jill Nickel Broome, former director of regulatory affairs, is now the executive director of corporate regulatory operations. Broome was previously the director of regulatory affairs for Time Warner Communications, and was a telecom bureau chief at the Florida Public Service Commission.

- Jose Jimenez, former director of regulatory affairs for Cox's California and New England operations, was promoted to executive director of regulatory affairs and corporate policy. Jimenez joined Cox in 1999 as a state regulatory affairs manager. He previously served as a policy advisor to the California Public Utilities Commission.
 
- Doug Garrett is now the regional vice president of regulatory affairs for Cox's western region. He previously worked at Pacific Bell/SBC.

- Katy Boren, former director of regulatory affairs, was promoted to regional vice president of regulatory affairs for Cox's eastern region. Boren was previously the assistant general counsel at the Oklahoma Public Service Commission, and, before that, she was in private legal practice.
