* EGT lands industry vet to be sales VP
EGT has hired Chuck Conner as its senior vice president of sales. Conner joins EGT from Harmonic Inc., where as vice president of major account sales, he was responsible for more than $400 million in sales. Conner previously worked at General Instrument (now Motorola) and Philips Broadband Networks.
* Rogers gets the OK for 2-for-1 stock split
Shareholders of Rogers Communications approved a stock split of the company's Class A Voting and Class B Non-Voting shares on a two-for-one basis. The split is scheduled for December 27.
Rogers expects the new shares will be distributed on or about Jan. 5, 2007.
