* Symmetricom hires new veep
Symmetricom has appointed Dale Boehm to the post of VP, market and business development for the company's Telecom Solutions Division.

Boehm, who has been with Cisco Systems during his career and most recently was with Sanmina-SCI, will formulate strategies and plans for Symmetricom's precise time and frequency products for existing and new markets, including wireless, cable and OEMs.

CableLabs recently qualified Symmetricom's TimeCreator 1000 DOCSIS Timing Interface Server, a key element of the emerging modular cable modem termination system architecture.

* Weintraub appoints business development veep
Weintraub Telecomm has hired William J. Beaumont as senior vice president - business development. Beaumont will manage marketing, sales, corporate alliances and business development initiatives. Prior to joining Weintraub Telecomm, Beaumont held senior leadership positions in the technology industry at The Cigna Companies, SunGard Data Systems, DecisionOne and the Geisinger Health System.
