ARRIS and UTStarcom have agreed to license a customized VoIP-enabled Roaming Client from PCTEL Inc.

ARRIS and UTStarcom will offer the Roaming Client as part of their Fixed Mobile Convergence platform, which includes UTStarcom's Continuity FMC Feature Server and the ARRIS Mobility Application Server.

That combo will be marketed to operators seeking solutions that enable customers to seamlessly roam between cellular and WiFi networks using a single phone number.
