T-Mobile is buttering up Dish and it might work

T-Mobile keeps saying nice things about Dish, which could help pave the way to a Dish-T-Mobile joint bidding agreement going into the 600 MHz incentive auctions. Together, the two might have a much improved shot at winning the low-band spectrum T-Mobile desperately needs.

Independent operators are seeking exemption from Title II. That's unlikely, an FCC representative told attendees at the ACA Summit, because the agency believes the cost of compliance will “not be burdensome.”

Lori Lee, EVP, AT&T Home Solutions, said “Sixty percent of every dollar that we earn in revenue in video goes straight to the content guys and when you think about DirecTV… they pay 20 percent less content cost than we do in U-verse. So that drives a lot of scale immediately."

Netflix apparently has mixed feelings about the FCC’s push to reclassify ISPs under Title II regulation. Speaking at a Morgan Stanley conference, Netflix CFO David Wells said his company had hoped for a non-regulatory resolution and wasn’t “pleased” with the outcome.

New Nvidia game system supports 4K TV
