* Graves joins Trilithic
Mark Graves has joined Trilithic Inc. as applications engineer for the testing company's instruments group. Graves, a 20-year-plus cable vet with MSOs such as Northland Cable, holds multiple technical certifications through NCTI (now Jones NCTI) and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers. He is also a certified SCTE proctor.

* TVN adds OLN to VOD roster
TVN Entertainment has sealed a deal to provide video-on-demand distribution and asset management services for OLN.

The deal also gives OLN access to TVN's ADONISS 2 platform and its "TVNow" quick-turnaround service. OLN will use the latter to prep NHL games and Tour de France coverage for on-demand delivery.

* EarthLink uses Primal's billing package for muni Wi-Fi
EarthLink Inc.'s Municipal Networks unit is using Primal Solutions' IP Correlytics platform for billing, including usage tracking, event rating and mediation, subscriber information management, billing calculations, wholesale self-help, and support for wholesale and third-party invoice creation and reporting.

* MobiTV hires mobile video pro as CTO
MobiTV appointed Kay Johansson as chief technology officer, responsible for the creation, development and deployment of mobile television technologies on mobile devices and PCs over the broad array of networks.

Johansson joins MobiTV from Popwire, where he served as CTO for the last six years.

While at Popwire, Johansson contributed to the design of the end-to-end media streaming infrastructure at the core of Ericsson's media delivery system (Ericsson owned Popwire). In 2000 Popwire and Ericsson launched the first official television broadcast over a 3G network.
