* Hill named president of Turner Media Group
Former RadioShack exec Mark Hill has been named president of Turner Media Group (TMG), a provider of advanced, interactive TV advertising services.

Hill most recently served as chief corporate development and strategy officer for RadioShack, where he was the principal negotiator for a range of acquisitions and strategic alliances.

TMG said it reaches more than 100 million homes thanks to deployments with EchoStar, Comcast Corp., Time Warner Cable and Cox Communications.

* U.K. provider taps Allot for bandwidth management
CableCom Networking, which provides Internet services within university dormitories and housing for National Health Service (NHS) personnel in the U.K., has selected Allot Communications' NetEnforcer and NetXplorer for bandwidth management of high-speed Internet access and IP telephony services. Allot specializes in deep packet inspection (DPI) technology.
