The Comcast Media Center (CMC) has launched its Ad Distribution Network (ADN), a system that allows programmers to distribute spot ads and promos to their affiliates.

The CMC unveiled the system this week in Boston at the annual CTAM Summit.

Program networks transmit ads and promos via a Web portal. Affiliates can access, preview and download content via MSO-specific Web portals. That includes materials customized for use by a particular MSO affiliate.

The CMC's ADN hosts both low-resolution and high-resolution formats of the spots. Affiliates can transfer the high-resolution versions directly from the ADN portal to one or more of their local editing suites.

ADN also features a reporting package for use by cable programming networks and MSOs that generates real-time reports for determining the campaigns that have generated interest from the user. The reports provide usage data for downloads of both the low-resolution and high-resolution campaign spots.
