Proxilliant Systems announced its Cable Access Management System, which aims to give cable operators comprehensive information about network and service performance and prepare cable networks for advanced services, while slashing field and network troubleshooting time and cost.
The Proxilliant system depends on the deployment of its Intelligent Access Controllers widely throughout the HFC plant to provide real-time monitoring of critical fault and performance indicators, correlation of RF, IP and QoS level information, including continuous path and upstream ingress monitoring and analysis. The controllers incorporate Proxilliant’s managed ingress suppression technology. Proxilliant’s CAMS Service Health Manager software provides intelligent management of the Intelligent Access Controllers.
Proxilliant claims CAMS is the industry’s first complete system for real-time monitoring, analysis, correlation, reporting and active management of the HFC network and advanced services. CAMS is readily integrated with third-party OSSs through supported standard software interfaces.
Proxilliant’s products are deployed by cable operators throughout the world, including UPC Sweden. In the U.S., Proxilliant is working with a number of cable operators, including one top-5 MSO.
