Ten customer premises equipment providers and technology manufacturers recently announced products that are interoperable with Motive Inc.'s broadband Home Device Manager software, which allows DSL/IPTV service providers to manage, support, and upgrade CPE.

The Motive Home Device Manager is based on the DSL Forum TR-069 standard. The market for consumer equipment continues to converge on the remote device management standard.

The ten vendors are: 2Wire, 3Com, Centillium, D-Link, Gatespace, Huawei, Netgear, Telsey, Zhone Technologies and ZTE. Their participation brings the total number of companies working with Motive to 23. The others are Actiontec, Broadcom, Conexant, Jungo, Linksys, Netopia, Philips, Siemens, SMC Networks, Texas Instruments, Thomson, Westell and ZyXEL Communications.

Motive administers the MotiveSmart Verification Program, an initiative that ensures Motive and its partners support the evolving interoperability requirements of service providers to more flexibly and cost-effectively deploy and manage triple play services.
