Stanford University's athletics department will use Digital Rapids StreamZ real-time media encoding servers to provide live streaming video coverage of the NCAA 2006 Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championships on the Web.

More than half of the men's and women's singles, doubles, and team matches will be streamed live throughout the tournament, with the exception of the Team Finals, to which ESPN 2 holds exclusive coverage rights.

StreamZ encoding solutions combine hardware for video and audio capture and pre-processing with Stream software, delivering real-time, multi-format media encoding, transcoding and streaming. The advanced, hardware-based video processing features - including motion adaptive de-interlacing, scaling, filtering, and 3D motion-adaptive noise reduction - enable optimum quality and the most efficient use of bandwidth in the compressed result.
