* Verimatrix watermarking integrated with Broadcom chipset
Broadcom Corp. has added Verimatrix's watermarking technology to its set-top box  reference design platform. The reference design integrates Verimatrix Content Authority System (VCAS) VideoMark watermarking technology with Broadcom's two-chip high-definition AVC/VC-1/MPEG-2 set-top box system-on-chip solution for STBs, personal video recording (PVR) products and IP STBs.

* Towerstream launches wireless business service in NYC
Towerstream is offering New York City businesses T-1-equivalent service. The company is emphasizing reliability as it positions the pre-WiMAX service, claiming it to be the first with a guaranteed five-9s uptime.

Towerstream is offering its High-Availability T-1+  service for $600/month.
