Panasonic extended its current licensing agreement with Gemstar-TV Guide to incorporate the latter's new GUIDE Plus+ digital interactive program guide in products sold in European markets - once it's available.

The new agreement allows Panasonic temporary deployment rights for non-Gemstar-TV Guide IPGs in certain consumer electronic products, including recorders and large-screen TVs, until the digital version of the Gemstar IPG is available.

Gemstar-TV Guide and Panasonic have been working together on the development and deployment of Gemstar IPGs worldwide.
