JDSU adds Test-Um to the mix
The deal is slated to close in the current quarter. Financial terms were not disclosed.
JDSU, which acquired Acterna last year for about $760 million, said its latest acquisition will add a set of home-wiring test instruments for the verification, installation and maintenance of Cat-3, Cat-5 and coax cables for the delivery of IP-based services.
Camarillo, Calif.-based Test-Um has about 30 employees. The company recently launched a line of instruments under the "SmartClass" brand.
"With our acquisition of Test-Um, JDSU will add an important set of test instruments to help our customers quickly, efficiently and reliably deliver the IP-based triple play services consumers are demanding," said John Peeler, EVP of JDSU's communications test & measurement division.
