Comcast Cable said more than 60 percent of its Eastern Division is offering an introductory $99 bundle of voice, video and data services, following its recent launch the Philadelphia metro area.

The price point on the single-bill bundle is good for 12 months and aimed at new customers.

In the east, Comcast is also offering the bundle in parts of Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware and Washington, D.C. Ninety percent of the MSO's Eastern Division will offer the bundle by mid-year, the company said.

Comcast said nearly one of four new customers are taking the triple-play bundle when it has been available for 30 days or more.

On deck is a wireless/mobile service to be offered in partnership with Sprint Nextel, but Comcast has yet to say how it will bundle that component with its other services.
