Charter Communications will deploy Gemstar-TV Guide's i-Guide IPG in Motorola set-top boxes, and in Scientific Atlanta set-top boxes when i-Guide is available on that platform.

The IPG deal was one element of a long-term multi-service agreement between the two under which Charter will also gain access to Gemstar-TV Guide's networks--TV Guide Channel, TVG Network and TV Guide Spot.

More than five years ago Charter was the first MSO to execute an IPG agreement with Gemstar-TV Guide.
