Turner uncorks GameTap
Turner Broadcasting System Inc. (TBS) on Monday launched GameTap, a PC-based broadband gaming and entertainment network.
TBS kicked off the service with 300 arcade, PC and console games, including Pac-Man and Dig Dug, from classic platforms such as the Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, Intellivision and Atari 2600. GameTap launched with support from 24 publishers, including Activision, Eidos Interactive, Electronic Arts, Midway, Ubisoft and Vivendi Universal Games.
Subscriptions run $14.95 per month.
