Armstrong Cable has inked a multi-year video-on-demand deal with TVN Entertainment, under which TVN will aggregate a wide range of on-demand content for the MSO, including traditional movies, kids programming, "free" fare from basic cable networks, and subscription-VOD from HBO, Showtime and Starz!

Under the deal, TVN will supply its ADONISS asset management system, and also provide Armstrong with pay-per-view events. In all, TVN said it offers more than 2,500 hours of VOD content per month.

TVN has VOD relationships with MSOs such as Adelphia Communications, Blue Ridge Communications, Cablevision Systems, Charter Communications, Comcast Corp., Cox Communications and Verizon, among others.
