Cable One Inc. has selected the BigBand Networks BMR (Broadband Multimedia-Service Router) platform to manage the operator's digital television services.

In all, CableOne is using the BMR in 42 systems to control channel lineups, video quality and bandwidth efficiency of standard- and high-definition digital programs.

The MSO is also using BigBand's PSIP table regeneration to make available program-relevant data, including descriptive information, closed captioning and parental control.

Cable One, a division of The Washington Post company, serves 710,000 subs in 19 states.
