Rogers Communications took its grand unification plan to the executive level Wednesday with the appointment of Nadir Mohamed to the post of president and COO of the company's combined wireless and cable operations.
Mohamed previously served as president and CEO of Rogers Wireless. Edward Rogers will remain president of Rogers Cable. Robert Bruce, EVP and chief marketing officer of Rogers Wireless, will become president of that division.
The expansion of Mohamed's responsibilities plays into the Canadian communications company's convergence service plan.
"Having achieved full ownership of all three of our operating companies, we are now proceeding to structure our operating management in a way that will take further advantage of the opportunities we can achieve from driving increased integration of our wireless and cable operations," said Rogers Communications President & CEO Ted Rogers, in a release.
