Blonder Tongue revenues and losses rise
Blonder Tongue Laboratories said Q1 revenues rose 8.7 percent to $9.2 million, while operating losses grew to $603,000 compared to $122,000 in the year-ago period.
Blonder Tongue attributed the sales increase to increased cable capital spending on the vendor's headend and distribution gear. The wider loss was blamed on an inventory reserve of $603,000.
Company Chairman & CEO James Luksch said Blonder Tongue is allocating "considerable resources" to sell and/or convert the excess inventory.
