OSS firm Core Networks has launched CoreDuet, a partnership program designed around the CableHome home networking specification. Core said the program will help the company formalize and foster cooperation between Core and companies that make CableHome-based hardware and software. Cable veteran James "Bow" Rodgers has joined the board of MyDTV and has taken the reins of the software company as its new CEO. MyDTV founder Gil Dudkiewicz will remain the company's chairman and president. Burlingame, Calif.-based MyDTV provides "personalized" TV services that allow viewers to set preferences and to help them "filter" and navigate digital programming.

In an effort to shore up its broadband menu, EchoStar Communications Corp. forged a deal with EarthLink Inc. to provide bundled digital subscriber line service to its customers.
