Jeff Andrew Zeller, the son of Warren and Bonnie Zeller, has been named the 2005 recipient of the Milton Jerrold Shapp Memorial Scholarship.

The $20,000 scholarship, sponsored by Motorola Inc. and administered by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), is named after the cable pioneer and former governor of Pennsylvania.

Jeff Zeller, 18, will be recognized at the annual awards luncheon at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, set to run June 14–17 in San Antonio.

Zeller, a Cherry Creek High School student who lives in Centennial, Colo., has a 4.0 grade point average and is due to graduate next month. He will attend Stanford University this fall, where he plans to pursue a degree in electrical engineering.

His father, Warren, a former executive with Starz Encore Group, is presently the vice president of account services with Cohorts, a database provider to the cable industry.
