Cablevision says 'Si' to VOD
Thu, 04/14/2005 - 8:00pm
Armed with software and servers from SeaChange International, Cablevision of Mexico is about to become the first operator in the country to offer video-on-demand (VOD).
Cablevision, Mexico's largest cable MSO, will offer a library of on-demand movies, local and network television shows, and high-definition titles.
The operator will offer the application on Motorola-made DCT700, DCT2000 and DCT6400 boxes and the Microsoft TV Foundation set-top software platform.
"By working with SeaChange, Cablevision is harnessing on-demand's full potential. VOD, or Video sobre Demanda in Spanish, will bring control and convenience to subscribers," said Cablevision General Manager Jean Paul Broc.
