ParaSun Technologies Inc. has extended a high-speed data service agreement with Allegiance Communications LLC, an MSO that owns and operates cable systems in parts of Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.
Under the expanded deal, ParaSun will provide outsourced Internet connectivity and call center service support in nine Allegiance systems serving more than 11,000 cable subs.
Allegiance and ParaSun have been partners since 2001.
ParaSun's "premier customer service, technical support, and provisioning solutions have helped us to provide first-class Internet services to our subscribers, resulting in the steady growth of our cable modem business," said Allegiance President & COO Kay Monigold, in a release.
Allegiance serves more than 54,000 subs in 69 systems. The MSO acquired those systems - the majority in smaller cities and towns — last year from Cox Communications.
ParaSun is one of a few remaining "turnkey" high-speed data ISPs that serve cable operators, outlasting firms such as ISP Channel Inc. and High Speed Access Corp.
