EchoStar, TVG are off to the races
EchoStar Communications and TVG Network have launched what they say is the first national, interactive horseracing channel.
The iTV net will offer horseracing news and information and, in some markets, allow viewers to place wagers via their remote controls.
EchoStar said wagering via a TVG account presently is allowed in 12 states: California, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Washington and Wyoming.
Bettors in those states must also be at least 21 years of age and subscribe to a password-protected TVG wagering account.
