CSG adds VoIP support

Billing and customer care provider CSG Systems said it has added VoIP support to its Advanced Convergent Platform (ACP) as its broadband clients begin service rollouts.

CSG's ACP platform handles billing, customer- and self-care, and operational and reporting solutions. In addition to VoIP and other forms of cable telephony, ACP also supports video and high-speed data services. CSG estimates that 25 percent of its broadband customers have migrated to the new platform.

That convergence will grow in importance as operators bundle together more services.

"Through this customer-centric view, an operator can also leverage a single platform to deliver innovative cross-product bundling and discounting across all lines of business on a single bill," said Dwayne Ruffin, VP of product management for CSG's broadband services division.
