Cox bundles up in Q4
Cox Communications, now enjoying the private life, posted Q4 revenue of $1.7 billion, up 11 percent and fueled by its bundle of digital cable, high-speed data and telephony services.
Cox also narrowed its net loss to $2.5 billion, versus $11.3 million a year earlier.
Cox ended the quarter with 6.6 million subs, up 1 percent, and 12.6 million revenue generating units, a 10 percent increase.
During the quarter, Cox added a record 89,119 telephony customers, extending its total to 1.3 million. Cox also added 58,825 digital cable subs, giving it a total of 2.4 million. On the high-speed front, the MSO signed on 140,691 new customers and ended the quarter with 2.6 million cable modem subs.
