Pace boxes up SaskTel deployment
Pace Micro Technology has inked a deal to supply a new model of IP-based set-tops to Canadian op SaskTel.
SaskTel will use the DB220S, Pace's newest IP set-top box model. The deal extends an agreement between the two companies. SaskTel originally tapped Pace to supply IPTV boxes in 2002, and deployed the vendor's DSL4000 model.
Pace also joins a group of IPTV vendors supplying SaskTel, including Alcatel (middleware and set-top applications), Harmonic Inc. (encoders) and Kasenna Inc. (video servers).
SaskTel uses Alcatel's middleware and Open Media Broadcast Television applications, Harmonic's encoders, and Kasenna's video servers.
