Comcast Cable and Auspice Corp. have expanded an earlier deal that will enable the MSO to deploy Auspice's OSS software across multiple systems and services.

Under the multi-year licensing deal, Comcast will have the green light to use the Auspice TLX platform and associated OpsLogic platform in all of its markets and for all services. The agreement also paves the way for Comcast to use the software across operational areas, including network operations centers, customer care call centers and in the field.

Comcast has been using Auspice's software to automate operations support processes over the last four years.

"We're continuing to work with Auspice to execute our vision of intelligent automation - a paradigm shift to a more efficient way that cable operators can support their broadband services," said Charlotte Field, Comcast's SVP, national communications engineering and operations.

Comcast marks the latest deal expansion for Auspice with a major MSO. Last month, Auspice cut a similar deal with Cox Communications.
